Watch the World Cup in Squamish at The Backyard
The World Cup is here, and The Backyard is ready for match days in Valleycliffe.
We’ll be showing the games right here in Squamish with big screens, big sound, cold drinks, and a room full of people who understand that group stage football is never “just a game.”
Whether you’re backing Canada, cheering for your home country, following your sweepstake team, or just looking for a good place to watch with friends, there’s a seat for you here.
World Cup Games on Big Screens in Squamish
The Backyard is set up for proper sports viewing, with 6 screens visible from around the pub, a 140-inch projector screen, dedicated game audio, patio seating with a screen, and plenty of space to settle in for a match.
We’ll be showing games throughout the tournament during opening hours, with sound on for the big ones and the matches that bring the room together.
First up, Mexico vs South Africa kicks things off at 12pm, with sound on.
Then Friday is a big one for the Canadian fans, with Canada taking on Bosnia and Herzegovina at 12pm. Throw on some red and white, grab your friends, and come help make it feel like a proper Canada match day in Squamish.
Food, Local Taps, and a Proper Pub Atmosphere
Alongside the games, we’ll have the usual Backyard lineup ready to go: pub classics, pizza, bowls, sandwiches, local taps, cocktails, mocktails, and plenty of food that works well when you’re watching 90 minutes and pretending not to stress.
We’ve got 15 local taps pouring, a full food menu, and a room that feels best when it’s full of neighbours, friends, families, and fans.
